This disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to the AVB RaceLabs website, web portal and apps (the "Services").
1. Karting is dangerous
Karting and all motorsport carry a real risk of serious injury, death, and damage to karts, equipment and property. Using the Services does not reduce that risk. You take part in karting at your own risk and under the rules of the circuits, clubs, championships and governing bodies involved.
2. Guidance, not instructions
Everything the Services produce is guidance to help you make your own decisions. That includes tyre pressures, gearing, setup, grip, ballast and weather calls, predictions, Pit Kit calculations and checklists, library articles, and AI answers. It is not:
- professional engineering advice;
- a guarantee of grip, performance, lap time, reliability or results;
- a safety inspection or certification of a kart, tyre, engine or any equipment;
- confirmation that a kart or setup complies with any regulations or passes scrutineering.
Every adjustment is your decision. Check every change yourself, or have it checked by a qualified mechanic, before the kart goes on track. If something does not look or feel right, do not run.
3. Our results depend on what goes in
Our calculations use the information you enter and data from other sources, such as track details and weather forecasts. If that information is incomplete, out of date or wrong, the results will be too. Forecasts can change at short notice, and conditions at the track can differ from the forecast.
4. AI can be wrong
AI answers and insights are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, even when they sound confident. The AI Tyre Condition reader gives estimates from photos; it cannot tell you a tyre is safe. Check any AI answer before acting on it. See our AI Policy.
5. Regulations and eligibility
Class rules, minimum weights, tyre and engine rules, and licence requirements change and vary between championships. Weights, classes and rules shown in the Services are for convenience only. Always check the current regulations and your championship's officials before you rely on them.
6. Never use the Services while driving
Do not use the apps while driving or operating a kart, or while you are in any position where looking at a phone could put you or others at risk. Any device you take to the circuit is your responsibility: make sure it never distracts you or anyone else, and is never loose in or on a kart.
7. Libraries and third-party content
Library articles, how-tos and racecraft cards are general information, written to be useful across many karts. They may not suit your kart, engine or situation. Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
8. Our responsibility
We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. However, because karting outcomes depend on many things outside our control, including your decisions, your equipment, the circuit, the weather and other drivers, we are not responsible for loss or damage arising from how you use the guidance the Services provide, except where that loss is caused by our breach of our Terms or our negligence and was reasonably foreseeable.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Our full responsibilities are set out in section 15 of our Terms. If anything in this disclaimer conflicts with our Terms, the Terms apply, including the limits in section 15 for business users.
