Engine Hours tracks the run time of every kart engine you own and counts down to its next top-end and bottom-end rebuild. Add an engine with a name, its type and the rebuild intervals your engine builder recommends. New engines start at 10 hours for the top end and 50 hours for the bottom end, and both are fully editable.
Kart engines are rebuilt on hours, not dates, and hours are easy to lose across a season of practice days and race meetings. Logging after every session keeps the count honest. Open the engine and tap +5, +10, +15 or +30 min, or type custom minutes. A negative number corrects an over-count, and the counters never drop below zero.
Each engine shows total run time, time since the last top-end and bottom-end rebuild, and both intervals. Status pills read healthy, due soon once 20% or less of the interval is left, and overdue once the time since the rebuild reaches the interval. The engine list shows the hours left at each end, so you can see which engine needs to go back to the builder.
When it does, tap Log a rebuild and record top end or bottom end, the date, the cost, who rebuilt it and any notes. A top-end rebuild resets the top-end counter; a bottom-end rebuild resets both. Rebuild costs appear in the Season Budget and Running cost tools. Engine type can come from the app's engine catalogue when you are signed in and online, or from a built-in list of common types such as IAME X30, Rotax Max Senior and Honda GX200 when the catalogue can't be reached.
