Stopwatch & Laps is a pit-wall lap timer for timing a driver from trackside. The top of the screen is one large tap zone: tap anywhere to start, then tap anywhere each time the kart crosses the line to record a lap. Pause, Split, Save session and Reset sit in a separate row below, so a lap tap can never stop the clock.
As the laps come in, the session card shows your best, average and consistency, which is the standard deviation of the laps in seconds. The running lap shows its gap to the best lap, green when ahead and red when behind. Type a target lap such as 47.25 or 1:02.4 before you start and every lap in the timing-tower list shows its gap to the target as well as to the best.
Tap Split for intermediate times inside a lap. Split laps show sector times S1, S2 and so on, and the app works out a theoretical best: the quickest time in each sector added together. It uses the sector count most of your split laps share and ignores laps split a different number of times, so one missed press cannot invent a faster sector than anyone drove.
Pause, then save the session with track, driver, conditions and notes. Saved sessions show the lap count, best lap and date, and open to the full lap list with best, average and consistency. Track Notes picks up your best logged lap for a track saved under the same name. While the clock runs, the app locks the tabs and back gesture so a knock cannot end the session. You can switch between digital and analogue faces, and it all runs on the phone with no signal.
