Delete your account and data

You are stopping karting at the end of the season, handing your phone on to a younger driver, or you simply want your data gone. Before you tap anything, it helps to know that AVB RaceLabs has three different options, and only one of them deletes anything.

Before you start

• Your phone with the app signed in, or the web portal.
• A connection. Deletion happens on the server.
• If you manage a team, read If you are in a team below first.

Choose the right option

• Sign out ends your session but keeps your saved email and biometric setting on this phone. Use it if you will sign back in on the same phone.
• Forget this device signs you out and clears your saved email, password and biometric setting from this phone. Your account and data stay as they are. Use it before you sell, lend or hand on a phone.
• Delete account permanently deletes your AVB RaceLabs account and everything in it.

Forget this device

1. On Home, tap the person icon to open Profile.
2. Scroll to ACCOUNT.
3. Tap Forget this device.
4. In Forget this device?, tap Forget device.

You can sign in again any time, on this phone or another.

Tip: If you are passing the phone to someone else, use Forget this device first. They can then sign in with their own account without your details being remembered.

Delete your account in the app

1. On Home, tap the person icon to open Profile.
2. Scroll to ACCOUNT and tap Delete account.
3. Read Delete your account?. It explains that your account and everything in it, including your driver profile, karts, setups and sessions, is deleted, and that this cannot be undone.
4. Tap Delete account to go ahead, or Cancel to stop.
5. Wait while you see Deleting your account….
6. When you see Your account has been deleted., the app returns to the sign-in screen.

Your sign-in is deleted too. If you come back later, you start again with a new account.

Good to know: Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no grace period. If you might want your setups or session notes later, write down what you need first.

Delete your account on the web portal

1. Sign in at portal.avbracelabs.com.
2. Select the gear icon (Settings) in the header.
3. Find Delete Account and read the warning. It explains what is removed and what is kept.
4. Select Delete Account, then confirm the Delete account? message.
5. When asked, type DELETE in capitals and confirm.
6. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.

The Profile page on the portal also has Delete Profile. It removes your profile, saved karts, saved setups and account data. Profile is open on every plan, including Free.

If you are in a team

Deleting your account does not hand your team over to anyone, so sort the team out first:

• If you are a member: open the MY TEAM card on Home, tap Leave team at the bottom of the screen, then Leave team again in Leave this team?. Leaving keeps your own data; it only removes your access to the team area.
• If you are the only manager: you cannot leave the team until another member has been promoted to manager. Do that on the web portal first.
• If you want to close the team: on the web portal, go to Team > Overview > Danger zone and select Delete team. You type the team name to confirm, then select Delete permanently. A team can only be deleted when no other members remain, so remove everyone else first.
