You've bought a second chassis for the wet, swapped to a fresh engine for the championship rounds and moved up two teeth on the rear sprocket. The app only let you create one kart when you signed up. Now you want the whole garage recorded, so that gearing, pressure and ballast advice is worked out for the kart you'll actually run.
Karts, engines, tyre sets and setups are edited on the web portal. Changes sync to the app automatically.
Before you start
- A computer with a browser, signed in to portal.avbracelabs.com with your AVB RaceLabs account.
- The profile page opens on any plan. The engineering pages that use these records need Premium or Pro with AI.
- Your numbers to hand: kart weight without driver, sprockets, track widths and the ballast you carry.
Open your profile
- In the app, tap the person icon on Home to open Profile, then under GARAGE tap Manage karts & setups on the web app. On the portal itself, click Setups in the sidebar or the Profile icon in the header.
- You land on DRIVER PROFILE & KART SETUP.
Check your driver details
- In DRIVER INFO, check Name, Weight With Race Kit (kg), Height (cm), Driver Class and Experience Level.
- Add Driver licence ID, Registered organisation and Transponder number if you race.
- Under Advanced you can switch on Extreme Gearing Analysis. It adds a second gearing card, and your normal recommendation does not change.
- Click Save Driver Profile.
The CLASS SUMMARY shows the age range and Minimum Weight for your class.
Tip: Weigh yourself in full race kit: helmet, suit, boots, gloves and rib protector. Every gearing and ballast figure depends on it.
Add or edit a kart
- In KART MANAGEMENT, click New Kart, or click an existing kart card to edit it.
- Fill in Kart Name, Kart Class, Chassis, Chassis Variant, Chassis Number, Kart weight (kg, no driver), Competition class and Engine Side.
- Click Save Kart.
- To make this the kart engineering uses, click Set Active Kart.
Clicking a kart card only opens it for editing. The Active Kart chip shows which kart the engineering pages are using.
Record engines and tyre sets
Once the kart is saved, the engine and tyre sections unlock for it.
- In ENGINE MANAGEMENT, click New Engine and enter Engine Set Name, Engine Manufacturer, Engine Model, Engine Number and Seal Number. Click Save Engine, then Set Active Engine for the one fitted. Engine Database helps you pick the right model.
- In TYRE MANAGEMENT, click New Tyre Set and enter Tyre Set Name, Tyre Type, Tyre Brand, Tyre Model, Tyre Compound, front and rear sizes, measured diameters (mm), Heat Cycles, Sessions Used and Laps. Click Save Tyre Set and Set Active Tyre Set. Tyre Database lists known tyres.
Engines and tyre sets from your profile are also copied into the app's Pit Kit, into Spares Inventory and Tyre Sets. The copy is one way. Deleting something in your profile does not delete it in Pit Kit.
Save a setup sheet
- In KART SETUP MANAGEMENT, click New Setup, or click Load Factory Baseline to start from the chassis baseline.
- Give it a Setup Name and choose the Linked Kart.
- Enter your record: front and rear track width, Camber, Caster, Rear Axle Stiffness, Front Sprocket and Rear Sprocket (Gear Ratio (auto) fills in itself), Seat Position, Ride Height, ballast weight with a Ballast Placement row per block, Fuel Tank Capacity (L), front and rear rollout and Tyre Wear.
- Click Save Setup, then Set Active Setup.
Saved setups become fallback values for the engineering dashboards. Keep a separate setup for each condition you run, such as "Dry baseline" and "Wet".
Good to know: If the engineering pages show COMMAND CENTER STANDBY, you either have no saved kart or no active setup. Use Open Driver Profile or Create Setup in Profile to fix it.
Reading the result
The active kart and active setup drive the engineering pages in the app and on the portal. Ballast advice uses your weight, the kart weight and the ballast already on the setup. Gearing advice uses the engine and sprockets. If the advice looks wrong, check you have the right kart and setup active before anything else.
Setup changes are your decision. AVB gives guidance, and you or your mechanic check every change before you run.
In the app
The app can't edit karts or setups. It reads what you save here, and changes sync to the app automatically. Then pick your session as usual.
