Race Day Packing is a karting packing checklist you tick off as you load the van. It has 34 items in three sections. Kart & spares covers the kart loaded and strapped, fuel with the correct premix oil, a sprocket range for the track, a spare chain, slicks, wets and wet kit, the tool box, spare nuts, bolts, cable ties and tape, a tyre pressure gauge, the trolley, the starter and a charged battery, chain lube, zip ties and tape, and the rain light. Driver kit covers helmet, race suit, gloves and boots, rib protector, wet-weather over-gear, balaclava, drinks and snacks, neck brace, spare visor and tear-offs, and ear plugs. Paddock & admin covers licence, transponder and charger, entry confirmation, awning, generator, fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, cash, chargers and chairs.
Why it matters: the things that end a race day are rarely big. A licence left on the kitchen table or a transponder still on charge at home can cost you the meeting. The list is built to be walked the night before.
Nine items are flagged critical: fuel and premix, the pressure gauge, helmet, race suit, neck brace, licence, transponder, entry confirmation and fire extinguisher. A GO / NO-GO pill only reads GO when all nine are ticked. If your transponder number is already stored on the phone, the transponder line shows it.
Name the run after the event and save it; the history shows the date, ticked count and GO status for every meeting. Ticks survive leaving the screen. You can also open the list from the Checklists for this event section in Race Weekends. It works fully offline and is free with no cap.
